Community Engagement
Economic Development:
CAFE acts as a direct liaison between Far Eastside residents and city elected officials, facilitates neighborhood planning efforts that impact zoning and land use issues, as well as works to attract, retain and support area businesses.
Upcoming projects that CAFE are staying engaged with to leverage community voice and input include but aren’t limited to:
- IndyGo Purple Line
- Oaktree Redevelopment
- North Post Road Redevelopment Area
- Economic Inclusion Agenda
Neighborhood Engagement:
CAFE takes an active role in initiatives and policies that impact the Far Eastside community. We support residents and resident-led organizations and associations through collaborative efforts to organize and address community challenges. These efforts include resident-led projects such as community cleanups, beautification initiatives, the Far Eastside Economic Inclusion Agenda, Quality of Life implementation efforts, the Apartment Managers Roundtable, neighborhood association activities, and monthly neighborhood outreach events.
